How to Stay Organized

With a busy schedule, I can’t stress enough how important it is to stay organized. Sometimes its like you’re trying to juggle a million things at once and it can get really overwhelming. Here are a few tricks I have picked up along the way to help me stay organized:

  1. Checking and updating your planner daily. I usually go through mine every morning and update it every night or as needed throughout the day. I have a terrible memory so I need these constant reminders.

  2. Phone reminders. If I have something important on my calendar, I will set a reminder on my phone and make the notification 1 day before and 30 minutes before…this really helps me with like birthdays, dinners, and parties.

  3. Stay on top of your bills and due dates. There are apps to help you budget and manage your spending. I tend to do it the old school way and just write everything out and line it up with my calendar.

  4. PUT birthdays in your calendar. At the beginning of every year I always go through my planner and write everyone’s birthdays down. You can do this monthly too but its really important to remember birthdays. Don’t be that friend that forgets!

  5. Collaborative apps. I have been trying out this app called Curango that allows you to invite other people to share collaborative calendars. You’re able to create and share grocery lists, wish lists, event info, and a bunch of other stuff that I haven’t taken advantage of yet lol

My #1 Must have for organization is getting yourself a planner. Even if it’s a digital one, that’s fine but just have one! I got a Passion Planner from a friend of mine and have loved it ever since. I would say really do research on what kind of planner you want. Everyone

File folders

I hate floating papers around so these really help organize papers that you need to store.
